Renault will debut ‘dramatic’ next-gen supermini Clio in Paris in autumn 2012
Making its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2012 is the next generation of Renault’s supermini, which will be given dramatic Dezir-inspired styling cues. In an Autocar interview, Renault sales and marketing boss Steve Norman said that the Dezir “directly inspired” the Clio 4 and so the engineers have aimed for it to look as close as possible to the concept. Other sources said that the entry-level Clios will feature a ‘stretched’ stance.” A source said that even the basic Clio 4s will have a dramatic look. The taut lines of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage had inspired design boss Laurens van den Acker. At some point, Steve Norman’s own Aston had been stationed in the studio.[via - 4wheelsnews]
