Lancer Evo



Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution mention future generations will use hybrid technology. Initially Mitsubishi engineers developed a gasoline-electric hybrid like most Japanese manufacturers.

Yet recent reports indicate, Mitsubishi had to leave that option and chose to develop diesel-electric hybrid. The aim is to ensure that future emissions Lancer Evo can meet emissions regulations.

Diesel-powered characters chosen because it possessed in the run-down as well as the level of efficiency that is better than gasoline engines. Lancer Evo diesel hybrid is expected to accelerate from 0 - 60mph less than five seconds while under the 200g/km CO2 emissions are expected.

Mitsubishi-wheel drive system retains all-wheel drive S-AWC. But Mitsubishi has a great challenge for the Lancer Evo two main markets, namely Japan and the United States is not like the diesel market, unlike Europe. It may take several years to change that character.
